The title of this post says it all to me. “keep it Jesus.” it’s all about Him, not about me. when i am worried about things, or trying to do things on my own, or things are going well and i get prideful, i need to keep it Jesus. sounds easy enough on the surface, but i am realizing more and more how difficult it is. i really have to press in to Him daily, because in every experience in life, good or bad, there are other things to attribute them too, when all i need to do is… keep it Jesus.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10: 9, Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 10, That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

i am learning today that sometimes we need that thorn in our side like Paul had, because it helps us stay weak in ourselves, but strong in the Lord. those things that appear to be hindrances, might just be God-given thorns in our side that are allowing us to wait on the Lord, and not do it on our own strength. those thorns keep us on our knees before Jesus, instead of on our own two prideful feet.

stillness. grace. love.
