well i just got back from a week of camp with 115 jr. high students, and as camp always is it was exhausting, and draining, and refreshing, and amazing all rolled into one. don’t ask me how it is that way, it just is. the camp consisted of extreme sports in the morning and afternoon (wakeboarding, surfing, skating, MMA, mountain-biking) and then activities, devotions, worship in the evening. there was a lot of walls coming down, kids opening up, leaders breaking down, and the Lord moving in all of it. i know personally God spent a lot of time teaching me that i don’t always have to be in charge and in the front during this week. there were a few different times when He said sit back and just pray. so naturally i went to a big group of kids and tried to talk to them and pray with them, and they walked away and i was alone, and the Lord again said sit back and pray. and after a few more attempts at talking to kids and getting shut-down i realized maybe it was time to sit back and pray. and i did. and it was great.

i have plenty more stories to share and pictures and what not, but for now i am still processing through things… more to come in future days, but i will leave you with a couple pictures.
