so last Sunday was my last day at The Rock Church. i have been there for two and a half years, and it has been an amazing ride. i originally came to san diego for what was supposed to be a 7-month internship. well two and a half years later i am finally saying good-bye. i worked with the 3rd-5th grade and built some wonderful relationships with my fellow staff, with my volunteers, and of course with the 200+ kids that i saw each week.  i said see-ya later this sunday and a few of the kids had some funny responses that i would love to share with you all…

example 1: one of my fourth grade girls said she wanted to pray for me, and her prayer went something like this, ” God please keep mister Brandon safe, let him tell lots of people about Jesus and don’t let his airplane crash.” hahaha, thank you Jade, i would love it if my airplane didn’t crash as well.
example 2: my last service (there are 4 per Sunday) after i told the kids what i was doing one new third grader raised his hand and asked me the following question, “are you going to meet Jesus?” i responded that one day i will meet Jesus, but hopefully not over the next year. instead i told him that i would just tell people about Jesus, and meet Him later. =)
gotta love kids. their innocence. their genuine prayers and questions. i will miss you Pebbles Pathway, thanks for a great two and half years!
love.
