Where do I start. I want to give you an update, but there is so much. So I am probably gonna just pour out my heart and see what it looks like.
I am sitting in an internet cafe at one in the morning in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Two weeks ago I was in Nicaragua on a different team. Latin America almost seems like a dream. Its kind of crazy how hard change is. Why is that? Are we creatures of habit? I guess we get comfortable, we like that comfort and we want to stay comfortable. Well Jesus has other plans for me. The last three months were almost a constant fight. The two weeks before team changes were a celebration of sorts. We had made it to that family status and it was good. Goodbyes were sad and even with a beautiful beach backdrop, it was hard not to remorse.
The celebration is over and there is work to be done. There is a new fight to be had. I love my new team. We are Team Refresh and we intend to do just that. We have a whole new team dynamic and it will take some getting used to. This teams purpose is to bring Kingdom with every footstep!
It was some work getting to Asia. I would like to tell you a little about it. We flew from Managua, Nicaragua to Atlanta, Georgia. On arrival in Atlanta, we were given a second Christmas of sorts. We were gifted hotel rooms by an anonymous donor, Chik-Fil-A gave us more free food than 51 people can eat, and there were packages from home waiting for us. One thing is for sure, you learn priorities on the World Race. A clean hotel room with a comfy bed, air conditioning, and a toilet that you could flush tp down was fabulous. All you can eat Chik-Fil-A was amazing! A Christmas ornament of a heart from my favorite four year old, priceless. See what I did there?
After a twelve hour layover, we got on a plane to Los Angeles where we had another twelve hour layover. Once we got on the plane to Korea, we were saying goodbye to America for at least 8 months. the flight to Korea was around 13 hours. Another twelve hour layover followed. Three of us escaped the airport just to smell Asia for the first time. It smelled good. We hopped back on a plane for six hours and landed in Bangkok, Thailand. We stayed there for 2 days and then hopped on a 12 hour night bus to Chiang Rai.
I love Thailand. Its the darkest country, spiritually, that I have ever been to, but Papa has a plan. There is idol worshipping on literally ever corner, but the food is amazing. Thailand is the center for human trafficking and the Kingdom is making a move. We say no more! I feel a quaking in the spirit. Literally. The first two times, I thought that I was actually experiencing an earthquake. What I have learned, is that I was prophetically experiencing a shift in the Spirit. Asia is about to explode! (In a good way)
My contact is part of it. He is a family man that has a vision for discipleship. He has integrity flowing out of him and always has a joyfilled smile bursting forth. Tomorrow we are going to a mountain village where we will be staying the night with the people we are evangelizing. I am excited to see love win!

P.S. To the woman of my dreams. I am coming for you!
