A lot has happened in the past couple of days. I have a new family! Don’t worry “old” family you could never be replaced. It took little to no time to start to get comfortable with my squad of fifty five. Through love, we have found unity. It has been truly amazing and is just starting! We are from all over the nation, have different walks of life, different testimonies, and different expectations. Love truly defeats all barriers! Through tears, laughter, strife, and peace; Papa is shaping our team into something special.
I feel Him compelling me to be a leader and to build up all of those around me. To share everything that He has given me. He has been telling me for a long time that I’m a leader and like Gideon I told Him for a long time that He was wrong. He has showed me that it is time to embrace my destiny! I am a son of Him who is Love, and we share a heart. I have said these words without embracing them for far too long.
Lord I’m ready to surrender everything to You. These words also carry new meaning for me and the more He shows me how true freedom can only be reached through surrender, the more I want it and everything that comes with. I love it when as I write about something, Jesus gives me new revelation on what I’m writing about. He reminded me of Revelation 2 where He talks to the church at Ephesus about how great they’ve been. How they have done seven things so well and yet the eighth things is more important than all else. In verse four, He says, “Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.”
Papa’s love is the answer to everything and through His love, everything else falls into place. Lord, show me how to love You the way that You love me. I pray that love be my ministry and that I would not forget it! That I would walk in your love and embrace as I go where You go!
