A new stretch on The World Race begins tomorrow morning. January 15th, 2012 marks the exact halfway point of the race and also the day we enter into the Kingdom of Cambodia. Three more months on the Asian continent and I will call them, "The Months of Mystery." There is something looming about these coming nations in regard to our squad, not to mention me personally. Mystery shrouds every aspect of the coming adventure. As I talk with my teammates I realize a trend. Nobody seems to know anything about what is going on with these countries that we are about to enter. First Cambodia, then Malaysia, and finally China. The truth is, we are walking into nations highly unknown to us. The immediate thought is, "Well duh, you have never been there…" Truth. But unlike many of the other countries that we are going to, there hasn't been much talk about these places. No stories from other racers, no real research, really just bits of info here and there about the genocides and hearsay of the religious spirit. I am so excited…

For myself, the unknown drives me. It moves me into a state of desire. The kind of desire that God uses to help me take risks. Risks that will expand His Kingdom. As a matter of fact, God has shared something with me from the beginning of the race. I keep hearing that Cambodia is going to be the most spiritual intense nation for me. Whether God is saying that there will be demons to cast out, angels to host, or mountains to move is not clear, but either way there are two things that are very clear…The Holy Spirit of God is going to be there, and… whether there is trial, tribulation, terror, or triumph I will rejoice in God's victory in me. That is such a difficult thing, to celebrate through times of fear or hardship, but is God not Lord of everything and Conqueror of fear and death? I believe he is.

Pray for me. Please pray that I continue to walk in faith. Please pray that God will continue to use me for his glory. Please pray for safe travels for our squad and team. And please pray for a great adventure that glorifies God. Talk to you soon.
