So The World Race is being its wild self again. I know all of you back home were looking forward to me being in Thailand this month and just thrilled to hear about what God is doing there…But He had other plans for this month. Though we want to live our lives dangerously for the Kingdom, we want to be safe enough to finish the race as God has prepared it for us. Because of the intense flooding in Bangkok, the decision was made to flip our race upside down. As I write this blog I am in the middle of a 48 hour + travel extravaganza on my way to Manila, Philippines! What was planned to be month 7 of my race is now going to be month 4. I have to say, this is exactly what I signed up for. No expectations, exciting change, amazing adventure, and the mystery of the unknown. I have gone from Entebbe, Uganda to Doha, Qatar and again from Doha to Bangkok, Thailand. At this very moment I am sitting in the Bangkok airport on a 24 hour layover waiting for my 3rd and final flight to The Philippines where I will be spending 6 weeks making this months the longest month of the race so far! God is so amazing to do things like this. Earlier this week we have gone through a tremendous amount of change as a squad. Our oh so wonderful squad leaders have raised up three very much equally wonderful new squad leaders to take their place. Michael, Andrea, and Kevin, you are doing such a great job already btw. Also, two new team leaders were raised up to fill in those holes left by our now squad leaders. Erin and Scott are heartfelt leaders that will bring a ferocity to their teams. Finally, we went through team changes this week. For three months I have been with the same five people and now all of the teams have been jumbled up in a way that only God could have done. I have a brand new team to be a part of and lead into our time in Asia. I just love the change going on right now and I cannot wait for whatever other surprises may come.
