Well, that's the end. Three weeks with a bunch of men in search of brotherhood, identity, and more of the one and only creator of the universe. Wow. I am so blessed to be where I am. Here is what I found this month in Thailand. FIrst of all I have to explain that whenever anyone decides to build relationship and develop growth with anyone else there is a choice that is made to help an individual or individuals carry the load of their burdens. This is an action taken by Christ on the cross with our sin. For us, we do not want to carry one's burdens for them, but we choose to help lighten their load as they shed those things that hold us in bondage. As a team leader on The World Race, I joyfully and humbly choose to walk alongside of 6 others and help them lighten their load and that means sometimes I must feel the weight that they carry through empathy and compassion. I am honored to be there with them for that. This month, however, was a time where I had the opportunity to lay down those burdens and find rest. The men of Y-Squad worked very hard in the fields, gained blisters, and physically grew tired each day, but though my body was worn, my spirit was lifted up. I found much rest in Christ, and growth and edification through my brothers. My responsibilities as a leader were lighter and God was able to prepare me, in ways, for what comes next which I will share about in a future blog. God is now allowing me to come back together with the rest of the team and continue helping them run into freedom. I am so thankful for the time I had here in Thailand. To be honest, I didn't expect a lot from this country, mostly because of my previous experience with some Thai people. But, I was pleasantly wrong. I can truly say that I love the people and the Kingdom of Thailand. I have nothing but thanksgiving for how God is moving in this nation. Oh, and just yesterday, I got to see the Princess of Thailand! It was boring sitting there for an 2 hours just to see her walk by 12 feet in front of me for two minutes, but c'mon! Thailand's beloved princess…how cool!!!
