What does being part of Gods kingdom really look like?

I can’t say I’ve ever asked myself this question but I also don’t know if I’ve ever seen it to the extent that I did this last 10 days at training camp.

If you haven’t heard this already, can I please be the first to say that training camp is a blast but it’s so exhausting [ Mentally, Spiritually and definitely Physically ]. This is intentional though. I now feel like I’m way more prepared to step out into the world.

Anyways, back to my original question.

So for the world race we had to do what is called the fitness hike. This hike consists of hiking 2.2 miles with our pack that carries all of our gear (tent, sleeping pad, clothes, necessities for 11 months) but wait, it must be done in 38 minutes.

I stepped into this hike knowing it would be a challenge but very excited to get it over with. What I learned though, that I was not prepared for.

Let me paint a picture: You just finished hiking this 2.2 mile route with a 39 pound pack in 35 minutes. You drop your pack because your out of breath from running to the finish and your dripping in sweat because it’s Georgia in August. You turn around to head back to the finish line to finish cheering people on along with everyone else. All around you there are people getting to the finish line, barely able to finish….nah…not just barely able, literally crawling and almost not moving anymore. Then a team of people come surround them to pick them up and carry them to the finish because they were absolutely going to make it to the end and we were all going to make sure it happened. There were people pulling others to get to the finish line, there was so much screaming and cheering every time someone crossed that line.
In Psalm 40 verse 2 it states “He lifted me out of the sling out, out of the mud and more; he set my feet on the rock and gave me a firm place to stand.”

I’m getting chills just thinking about the moment because it was such a pure beauty.

Guys, God is fighting just like they were. He is fighting for us to cross the line into new life with Him. He doesn’t want us to hurt anymore either, He wants to come alongside us and lift us up out of the mess when we can’t walk anymore to carry us across that line. He wants us to break past those walls and those past pains to step into victory with Him.

Guys, the Lord simply just wants to live in relationship with you and I’m just going to say, it’s a party!
