Yesterday, our squad leaders left us to go be with another team in Johannesburg. It was an emotional ordeal, as we have built such strong relationships over these past few weeks. I want to give a special shoutout to my friend Rob.
Rob has truly shown me what a beautiful heart and Godly man looks like. He’s cleaned up around the house, done all the dishes, swept the floors, spent time talking with us, and spent time in prayer with us. He was the only guy in a house of 13 girls, and he handled it like a champ.
While doing our dishes, Rob shared with us that he felt the Lord was telling him that a lot of us had never felt respected by a man, or that we had ever been treated nicely by a man without feeling like we have to give something in return. He took the time to wash our feet, and tell each of us his listening prayer for each of us.
The things he said to me from the Lord really affected me spiritually. I’ve been changed by Rob and his love for others, and I’m so thankful Jesus placed him in my life for this time.
So Rob/Robert/Bobbie/Bobert, thank you for investing time and care in my life. You have inspired me, and you have taught me to take a moment and take a selah to spend time with the Lord. I see Jesus in you in everything you do. You’re awesome, and I’m so excited to talk with you again at debrief.
Love you, brother!
