It’s been a while since I have wrote one of these
little shenanigans, so here goes it.
All of these are from my months in Guatemala and
Nicaragua.
Each of the following responses are a
completion to the phrase in the title,
“You know you’re a world racer when…”
You pray for at least two
hours a day.
You get excited to see an
American man because you have been surrounded by 12-13 females for the last two
months.
Your love and passion for
God’s children deepens every single day.
Your prayer life gets wrecked for His Kingdom.
You make bread from
scratch, for the very first time.
You reminisce of the past
months and the connections you have made, and it’s only month three.
Riding in about 12
different vehicles on your off day is no big deal.
You realize that Your
Father truly loves everything about you.
Having a vehicle break
down is not abnormal.
Intimate time with you and
the Father can be hard to find, but so good when it happens.
You get at least two blog
comments on every blog, thanks to our squad mom and dad, love you Bruce &
Marcy Dawson.
You never again want to
see blended beans.
Your off days consist of
eating some good food.
50+ mosquito bites on your
body is just a norm.
Your teammates turn you
into an adventurous person.
You break your bed during
the second week of the month and resort to sleeping on the ground for the next
two weeks.
You can’t help but pick up
every child you see.
You learn a new meaning of
serving.
You see others the way
that your Father sees them.
You walk 15 minutes just
to grab a red Fanta and a bag of chips.
Your brain starts to hurt
when you try to convert the currency into American dollars.
You see God start to work
in the very things you doubted He would do.
You are wrecked when you
have to leave your best friends that you made during the month, love you Jonhy!
You realize you have failed
at learning the language of the last three countries.
You are amazed at the
beauty of His creation.
You tweet so much that
your teammates feedback you on it.
You swim in a lake for two
hours in the middle of the night.
Your off day consists of
going and visiting others from your squad at their ministry.
You know there is about to
be a G-squad party in Costa Rica after Nicaragua.
You anticipate what the
Father is going to do in this next season of the race.
