You
hear about this awesome 11 country, 11 month missions’ trip, but you think it’s
not for you.
You
read blogs from current racers of what God’s doing on the field, but you think
it’s not for you.
You
look at the routes for future races, but you think it’s not for you.
You
read about the call to go to the nations, but you think it’s not for you.
You
start an application, but you think it’s not for you.
I’m here to tell you that if
you have The World Race or missions in general on your heart, IT COULD BE FOR
YOU!
Hear me out…
God is calling you to big things.
He is
calling you to bring His Kingdom to earth.
He is
calling you to step outside of your comfort zone.
He is
calling you to grow into the man/woman of God He has created you to be.
He is
calling you to share with the world what He has done.
He is
calling you to fulfill His commandments in His Word.
He is
calling you to be His hands and feet right now.
Do you doubt what He is speaking to you?
Let me feed you with some
truths to those lies that Satan is speaking over you.
I am
not worthy of being a missionary because of my past.
He will use your past to
reach out to those who are struggling with the same obstacles.
I am
not capable of raising $15,500 plus the cost of gear in order to go.
You won’t raise it, God
will. He owns the whole world & His provision is abundant.
I
couldn’t possibly love on special needs orphans.
You will be taught a new way
to love without receiving anything in return.
I can’t
just walk up to people and share Jesus with them.
Sometimes all you need to
share Jesus is a smile.
I’m
bad at public speaking.
He will be the one speaking
through you every time you get up in front of a crowd.
I
could not stand to live with people 24/7.
They will challenge you and
stretch you in a way you could never get without the community.
There
is no way I would be able to pack just 50 pounds worth of clothes.
You will realize that the
clothes you wear really don’t matter.
I
think I just need to go on a missions’ trip for two weeks overseas.
Two weeks at a ministry
location is nothing compared to the bonds you can make in a months’ time.
I don’t
even know how to write a blog.
God will guide your words in
every blog.
I can’t
hear God’s voice on whether I should go or not.
Stop what you are doing,
turn off all noise, turn off your brain, and sit with the Father and listen for
His voice (but finish reading this blog first, of course!)
My
church does not support missionaries.
God will lead you to the
people that will support you.
God
is not calling me overseas; I am called to the US.
Maybe for such a time as
this He wants you to lay down your desires and leave your comfort zone.
I don’t
meet the age requirement (21-35).
Pray about going on a
Passport trip through AIM (click here for link to more information).
I’ve
never been on a missions’ trip before.
Go big or go home!
I
already have a full time job.
Maybe God is calling you to
take a break from your regular 9-5 job.
I’m
not qualified for a trip like that.
All you need is Jesus and a
heart for His people.
God will rock your world if
you follow His calling to go on The World Race.
He will use your lips to
speak life into others.
He will break down the walls
that you have built up.
He will shatter your idea of
what a Christian looks like.
He will show you what it
means to love others.
He will give you a love for
others that don’t share the same language as you.
He will use you for Kingdom
building.
He will take you into a
place of pure intimacy with Him.
He will show you what a
Heavenly Daddy looks like.
He will demonstrate to you
perfect love.
He will shine light into
dark places through your obedience.
Now,
what are you waiting for?

Okay,
let’s not go crazy.
Spend
a couple days or weeks praying about The World Race and see where He leads you.
BUT
If
you know this is what He has for you…
If
you know this is exactly what you have been praying for…
If
you know that He has called you to greater things…
Be like Nike and “Just do it!”
He has called each of you
reading this blog to do mighty things for His Kingdom.
Don’t hold back on what your
Father has for you.
Seek first His Kingdom.
Then, let’s join together in
bringing His Kingdom to Earth.
