I want to share with you what the Father is doing in my
family right now.

Many of you have seen my posts asking for prayer for my
family and I am finally seeing the Father work.

On October 10th, as I was skyping my mom for
my birthday, my father was in the background and told my mom to tell me he said
hello. My father had not spoken a word to me since December of 2007 and the
Lord is softening his heart so much right now. Revelation right here,
revelation.

My dad said hello to me for the first time in FIVE
YEARS.

Some background on not talking to my dad for the last five years…

In December of 2007,
there was a domestic violence case in my family and I was removed from the
situation. In October of 2009, I reconnected with my mom because I felt the
Lord calling me to rekindle the relationship I have with her. Since 2009, it
has been very hard to communicate with my mom since she lives with my dad and
brother, both of whom have not spoken to me since 2007.

Before coming on The World Race, many people prophesied over me
that God was going to rekindle the relationship that I have with my dad,
specifically.
It took me a couple times
of hearing that to really understand what the Father was trying to say to me.
Continually in the last four months, God has been telling me through prayer or
prophesy that He is going to bring restoration. In Guatemala, I told others of
the desire in my heart for reconciliation in my family and many people have
been praying for me and my family since then.

Last month in
Nicaragua, I was beginning to doubt the work that the Father was doing in my
family. I was starting to wonder if His promises were going to be held true,
especially with the sickness, then death of my grandma. My God knows the desire
of my heart and now I believe that He is doing a mighty work to soften my dad’s
heart to hear Him.

Then, in the midst of talking to my mom she said that
she wanted to become a Christian.

My
mom, who is 53 years old wants to know the love of the Father.

Through the distance of me being on The World Race and
the lack of communication that I have had with my family, God is still doing a
mighty work.

Not only my mom, but God is doing work in the lives of
my aunts, uncles, and cousins.

It is SO GOOD!

Keep
on praying for my family to draw near to the heart of the Father.

Keep
on praying for the Lord to soften my father, William Wilcox’s heart.

Keep
on praying for my mom to have a relationship with Jesus.

He’s
going to bring restoration to my family like I never thought possible!

He
really DOES know the desires of our hearts & He really DOES listen to us
when we talk to Him!!

Lesson learned: When the Father speaks, listen and
believe Him.

Another lesson learned: Not
only is God doing work on the mission field as I share His love, but He is
doing big things at home as I am away.
