July 2nd could not come
soon enough! That’s the day that I will be leaving the good ole town of Angola,
IN and ride up to Detroit to catch my flight to Baltimore. From Baltimore, I
will be picked up by my friend Tori & head over to a hotel outside of Dulles
Airport. First, I must make a trip to Wawa after being picked up. What is Wawa?
It is a convenience store that is only on the east coast that has the most
legit food. I worked there when I was on summer project with CRU in Wildwood,
NJ, needless to say, I miss it a lot. There’s a Wawa 3.4 miles away from the
Baltimore airport, yes I have already researched this!
Once at the hotel, I will spend
the night with a few of the people on my squad and then the next day we will
meet up with everyone else. After we all meet up, we will then have “launch”
for a few days before we depart from ‘merica to head out to Bulgaria, our first
stop on the race. EEKkkk, I am overly excited to get this show on the
road. I’m so pumped that this dream that
I have had for over a year now is actually going to happen. I am really going
on The World Race, and there is NO turning back now!!
My bags are packed, okay well not
really they kind of threw up all over my room, but I do know everything I am
taking with me. My 65 liter pack will weigh about 40-45 pounds once I have
everything crammed in it. Packing for an 11 month trip is really like packing
for a week. We will have the ability to buy things overseas like toiletries,
clothes, and food. There is no real need to take 11 months’ worth of stuff, although
some people have thought that is what I am doing. I couldn’t even imagine doing
that!
Anyways, I just wanted to give
you all an update on when I’m leaving and my first stop. I’m more than excited
to go, but I’m really sad to be leaving all of my wonderful friends here. I’ve
made so many awesome friends while at Trine University and I have been blessed
by them for the last 4 years. Now it is time to say goodbye.
I’ve been so encouraged by my
friends who are praying for me. The people who are loving on me and I don’t
even realize it. Your prayers are very appreciated by not only me, but my team
and squad as well. God has big things in store for G-squad and He is going to
use us to move mountains, restore hope, bring the light, and be His hands and
feet across the world.
So here goes it… I’m saying peace
out, sayonara, deuces.
Please keep praying for me, Team
OIL, and G-squad.
Let’s bring Kingdom, people!
