Here I am, sitting in the Detroit, MI airport awaiting my flight that takes off in one hour 40 minutes. Yeah, I’m way early and I like that.
There are so many emotions going on right now from excitement, nervous, sad, scared, freaking out, just to name a few. When I woke up this morning it hit me that this is really happening, I am really leaving to go on The World Race. I don’t think it has hit me, hit me (if you will) because I have yet to have an outpouring of tears. That is totally what I am expecting. I’ll give it a few hours.
I’ve been committed to go on The World Race since September of 2011 which is just crazy to think that it is already July. G-squad is listed as a “current squad” on The World Race’s page, which kind of freaks me out. haha
So here goes it. I’m leaving and there is no turning back now. I am committed, I am going, I am commissioning, I am praising, I am loving, and I am PUMPED! I’m sure I could add a million emotions to this, but I’ll leave it at that.
Ps. The plane I’m boarding just showed up!!!
Anyways, my next few days are going to be sweet. I will be in Washington DC for a few days and then G-squad will head off to our first destination-Bulgaria. While in DC, we will have “launch” which will be a time of equipping us for the field, in addition to the training camp we attended in May. The next time I’ll be blogging I might be 7 hours ahead of you, on the other side of the world!!!
Please remember to pray for G-squad, Team OIL, and myself.
I know the prayer in Ephesians 6:18-20 is really powerful and I’d like to encourage each of you to pray this prayer.
“And pray in the Spirit in all occasions will all kinds of requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Pray also for me that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.”
Let me know if there are anyways I can be praying for you!
Please feel free to comment on any of my blogs, just a side note, you do NOT have to sign up for anything, just put your name, email/website if you desire, write your comment and hit “submit!” 🙂 AND, yes that is my plug for you to comment on my blogs! I love reading the comments; they are such a blessing to me, even if it’s just saying you are praying for me and my squad.
Please excuse my randomness in this blog. I’m just blurting out my thoughts, haha. I’m just so excited to go and make disciples!!!!!
