It’s my 23rd birthday and I’m in Romania!
Not to mention, it is day 101 of The World Race!
How cool is that??
I’m so blessed to have this opportunity to share Christ around the
world.
I’m extremely thankful for your daily prayers as I am on the mission
field.
I’m only doing God’s work by your financial gifts given to build His
Kingdom.
Today, I will be spending the day in a little city, Corabia, sharing the
gospel.
From 10 am until 6 pm I have the opportunity to evangelize to people who
potentially don’t know anything about the gospel.
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to go into this town and share the love of Christ in many ways including loving on these sweet abandoned gypsy children (NOTE: the little cute one on the far right in blue is not a abandoned or a gypsy child, he is my ministry contacts son. haha)
.
Plus there is a 7-9 hour time difference with you Americans, so it’s
like I get an extra little sliver of a birthday from all of your facebook
posts, haha.
Not your typical birthday, I’d say!
While being on The
World Race, I’ve had the opportunity to…
Spend quality time with teenage boys that were once
living on the streets.
Share
the gospel in one of the most dangerous towns in Honduras.
Love
on special needs children every day for one month.
Assist
teachers in their classrooms at a special needs orphanage.
Love
on the tight-knit church family in Nicaragua.
Pray
over the sick in a public hospital.
Show
the love of Christ through a simple smile.
Tickle
children in every country to hear complete JOY!
Assist
ministry contacts with social networking.
Build
a database of previous missionaries to a ministry location.
Have
an entire family adopt me as one of their own.
Share
the gospel solely by actions.
Speak life into others and grow in a community of believers.
Somedays it completely amazes me that this is the season of life that
God has called me to.
How cool is that?
Here’s the deal-io.
I understand that I am miles away from all of you…
You can’t really send me a package…
Or shower me with gifts…
(err…sidenote…one
of my love languages is gifts, so I love getting little notes of encouragement
or ya know, gifts! J)
BUT…
I have the perfect solution for you to give me a birthday surprise…
You can make a donation straight to my Paypal account!!!
How cool is that?
Little did I know before coming on The World Race, there was going to be
so many on-field expenses.
Expenses add up real fast from food and transportation, to debrief
times, to toiletries, to food for extended travel days.
The $12.00 a day budget they give us only goes so far.
My bank account is slowly but surely dwindling down.
If you would love to bless me for my 23rd birthday, something
more than a little facebook post, you can donate $23 (or whatever amount you
feel led) to my Paypal account.
How do you do that, you
say?
Click on this link:
And simply follow the instructions J
You can give any amount of money, because I guarantee you every little
bit will help!
Now, for the real
challenge….
Let’s see how many
birthday shout outs I can get on this ONE blog…
10?
30?
50?
facebook page and with your friends.
AND c’mon, you don’t want to just say “Happy Birthday”
and call it a day, so add in your favorite verse or something the Lord lies on
your heart to encourage me.
Let’s all get in the
birthday spirit!
