Here it is…
My first EVER photo blog!

These photos are from my month of ministry at Los Gozosos Orphanage in Chimaltenango, Guatemala. The orphanage is home to 10 children and assisting 17 children at the school. These children each have a special place in my heart!
There are also some photos from our days off while here in Guatemala.
ENJOY!

THE MARKET
Meat anyone?
Belts on display for all to see!
Most of the food in the market is sold in these little baskets.
An example of a store in Guatemala. These are everywhere!
Hacky-sacks are a common G-squad activity.
I tried taking a picture with this boy for 20 minutes and he didn’t want to. His mom finally convinced him to after she told him that I could take him to California with me! haha
OFF DAYS
A fountain at Finca De Loma, a beautiful place to get away here in Chimal.
If you turn your head to the left, you can see the profile of a man’s face in the mountain range.
This is me with two of my teammates, Meagan and Hannah in front of the “man on the mountain.”
Learning how organic coffee is processed in Santiago off of Lake Atitlan.
The beautiful view of Lake Atitlan!
On boat “Bonita” headed back to the main town to head back to Chimal.
A Catholic church in Santiago that has been standing for over 400 years.
The most gorgeous view of San Pedro mountain.
SOME RANDOMS
This little girl was so beautiful in her traditional Guatemalan dress.
Christina and I after church one day getting food from a carnival. Yes, a carnival after church…
Taking a ride from a trash truck after a medical camp in the dump.
These strawberries look safe to eat, right? Yes, I’m in the dump!
Christina and I with a pastor in the middle of the plaza of Antigua.
Taco Bell in Chimaltenango.
Yes, my Jesus loves me enough to give me Taco Bell!
My favorite ride of transportation thus far, tuk tuks!
One ride to the mall is 5 Q’s or about $0.60.
I have many, many more photos on a facebook album here:

If you are not my friend, I’m sorry but you will not be able to view the album, therefore we should just be facebook friends forever! (hint hint!)

I hope you enjoyed the pictures!
