Holy Spirit Giggles???
WHAT. IS. THAT?!?!
Plain and simple it is JOY.
It is an overflow of the Holy Spirit that intercedes in the
way of laughter.
Tonight, as all of
G-squad was standing around worshiping our Heavenly Father, a few people were
overcome with this laughter.
I found so much joy in seeing the Spirit work in them.
I was standing on one
side of the room looking off at all of my squad mates with so much joy.
Team OIL was on the
opposite side of the room and I decided to go and join them.
One squad mate, Micah
Hubbard, was filled with some Holy Spirit Giggles.
Next thing I know he
touched Shawna Moffatt, who was standing in front of me, and she instantly fell
to the ground next to him.
After moments of
laughter mixed in with worship, Shawna touched me.
INSTANTLY I fell to the
ground.
I’m talking flat out
don’t brace myself; fall to the ground type of fall.
The coolest part of it
all was that I was literally so in tune with the Holy Spirit when heaved over
laughing.
Like, intense laughter.
Nothing could take away the joy that I had in that moment.
Nothing could separate me from the love of my Father.
Nothing could tear me apart from the intimacy in that moment.
While I was lying on the ground God spoke
to me.
He told me that THIS is what He is talking
about in Romans 8:26 where Paul wrote that the Spirit will intercede for us
with groans that words cannot express.
These Holy Spirit Giggles were Him
interceding on my behalf.
Lately I have not known what to pray for,
but He just did it for me.
In the midst of the
laughter, Micah exclaimed, “This is what
church looks like.”
Literally ten to fifteen
people were overcome with the Holy Spirit Giggles.
So much JOY filled the room.
After the duration of
the worship session, those still overcome with some giggles were asked to move
the laughter outside.
I happened to be one of
the five still overcome with them.
I walked outside the
room and as soon as I did, I found one of my squad mates, Kiera Dragan, bent
over laughing.
What did I do?
Oh, I fell over, again. nbd
It was much more
dramatic this time though.
I fell on top of Anna
Bolinder.
My face hit her
shoulder.
AND…
I busted my lip.
Like, lip bleeding
busted my lip.
So what did I do, well,
I laughed more, of course!
Shawna, the girl that
touched me when I first fell to the ground had attempted standing up several
times, but failed each time.
When we were outside she
stood up and said, “I can stand!”
I touched her.
She fell down on top of
me.
Just a touch of the Holy Spirit, that’s all you need.
This is what happens on
the race.
Things you never
expected from yourself come alive.
The Holy Spirit
overwhelms you.
He intercedes for you in
your weakness.
You fall more
passionately in love with Him.
We serve a BIG, mighty, loving, never ending,
all-knowing, all-powerful HEAVENLY FATHER.
PRAISE THE LORD!!!
