Dear Body of Christ,
During the summer of 2011, I was in Nairobi, Kenya
working with a microfinance loan program. Throughout the course of the summer,
I was able to seek God’s heart and understand His love for His people in the
Mathare Valley. One day while doing evangelism in one of the villages, I was
able to witness 12 people come to know the Lord. Those that are born-again in
Mathare have this passion, trust, and love for God that is unparalleled to what
I will ever have. They literally rely on God just for food to be at their
dinner table to feed themselves and their children. They trust that God will
provide for them beyond their imagination, and He does!
Through this experience and the desire to become a
long-term missionary, I have been blessed with an amazing opportunity to share
Christ throughout all the nations. Starting in July 2012, I will be going to 11
countries in 11 months on The World Race with a well-known organization called
Adventures in Missions. God has really laid The Great Commission on my heart where
it says, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations.” I was led to The
World Race because of the ability to literally go into the world and share the
love of Jesus Christ with those that I will meet. Also, the race will give me
the opportunity to see if God is calling me to a certain type of ministry or a
certain type of people group.
You might be asking, “What is The World Race?”
Well, it is an opportunity for a group of 50-60 people ages 21-35 to fulfill
The Great Commission and go into the world and share Christ’s love with those
that they meet. My team and I will be involved in building churches,
evangelizing door-to-door, fighting human trafficking, caring for the homeless,
teaching English in schools, ministering through prayer, preaching in the
streets, living with gypsies, providing orphans with homes, reaching out to
prostitutes, and feeding the hungry. The countries that God has called me to
are: Bulgaria, Romania, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia,
Nicaragua, Honduras, and Guatemala.
Chasing after God’s heart around the world will not
be possible without you. There are three ways in which you can partner with me
in sharing Christ’s love. First, and probably the most important is for you to
partner with me in prayer. Pray for me and my team as we prepare to leave and
as we are raising support. Second, I would love to have your encouragement as I
depart for this journey. The best way to do that is by reading, subscribing,

update my blog periodically with what God is teaching me as I’m readying myself
for the mission field and as I am in the different countries. Third, I can’t do
this without financial support from you. The total cost of The World Race is
$15,500, and currently I have raised $4,000. If 20 people donated $50 a month
