One of my teammates, Hannah Latimer, had this
crazy vision of me while we were visiting Los Pinos.

Here is the story recalled
by Mary Middleton.

“So
my squad went into Los Pinos, where many of the boys that live on the property
we’re staying at come from. It’s a rough area.

We
were splitting up into three main groups. One group was doing home visits. One
group was playing soccer with neighborhood boys. The last group, I think was
doing jump rope and girly things with neighborhood girls.

Me
and my two teammates were the last group to start heading to a spot because we
were playing tag with a little boy.

So
we start walking downhill towards where the rest of the group was, which was
not far, probably like 80-100ish feet. Left to right, me, Meagan, and Hannah.

We
pass a group of young guys sitting on the left that were staring at us. We
didn’t really think much of it because we are stared and laughed at everywhere
we go. “Hahaha las gringas!” When this local guy comes walking up beside me on
the left, turns and cuts in front of me and darts in the middle towards Meagan
and grabs hold of the camera she had in her hands.

Only
5 seconds before, Meagan had wrapped the camera strap around her wrist. We’re
in a tug of war battle for the camera for 3 seconds tops, when the guy lets go
and takes off running back up hill. We take off running downhill towards the
rest of the group.

We
join the rest of the group, play soccer, laugh with the kids, no big deal.

When
we were getting ready to leave Los Pinos, and we’re with the big group and
we’re telling a couple of people the story.

When
Hannah says, “Yeah, Brandi gave that guy a good push.”

Me
and Meagan look at her with confused looks and say, “Hannah, Brandi wasn’t
there.”

“Yes,
she was.”

“Ha,
no, it was just us three.”

“Well,
I swear I saw someone wearing purple push him off.”

Hannah
explains that the whole afternoon when she was recalling the incident in her
head, that there were four of us walking, and Brandi pushed the guy and made
him let go of the camera. We probably had to tell her like 10 times that it was
only three of us walking.

I
think it was Meagan that said, “IT WAS AN ANGEL!”

So
we’re all pumped that an angel was with us.

We
get back to the property we’re staying on, and telling our squad leader what
happened, and why we came running to him earlier.

Turns
out, he saw the whole thing. Only he saw a group of women walking down the
hill, but only three came running. He didn’t think anything about the incident
because he thought we were only playing with Daniel, plus there was a whole
group of women, but he saw on our faces as we were running that we weren’t
playing. He told us that he saw the look on the guys face too. It looked like
he saw something scary, turned, and took off running.

I
don’t know what our angel looks like, I just know she wears purple and she’s
wicked strong.

It
was a small incident, but it could have escalated to much worse. I wanted to
tell you this story to thank you for your prayers for protection. There are
definitely angels that are covering me and my squad. I want to encourage you
keep praying for God’s supernatural protection over us so that nothing can
prevent us from spreading God’s love all over the world.”

I was not present during
this angel sighting, but what a cool way for the Lord to work in protecting my
teammates.

It’s still crazy to me that
all of this happened.

My team has been talking
more about and researching angels since this occurred.

Here is a picture of my team
from that day.
