I know they say don’t have
expectations for The World Race, but we all have them.

Below are 11 dreams I have for my
World Race.

11 dreams for Brandi’s #11n11

1. Get a weave in Africa complete with a head full of micro
braids.

Once upon
a time I had braids in Kenya. Word to the wise; don’t get your hair done in a
slum where the hair lady cannot wash the brushes before using them. You may end
up with sores all over your head. Yes, I looked like an African, but all the
Africans were freaking out because of the rash.

2. Be God’s Hands and Feet.

          He
has called me by name to build His Kingdom. My hands and feet are willing and
able to do His work. “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the
Good News.” Romans 10:15

3. Eat ridiculous food and pray for new taste buds.

Seriously,
please pray for new taste buds for me. The hardest part about missions for me
is eating and adjusting to the food. Pray that God gives me new taste buds to
be able to eat the food that will be served to me. While in Kenya last summer, one of my teammates Conrad ate intestines, not because he had to, but he actually WANTED to. He was able to stomach them until he realized they were not cleaned out well so he was eating….well ya know…

4. Fulfill His commands in Matthew 28, aka The Great
Commission.

In
Matthew 28, Jesus spoke to his disciples on the greatest commandment of
all.  Here are the words He spoke in
verses 18-20; “All authority in heaven
and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of
the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have
commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the
age.”

5. Visit Faith, my sponsor child in Kenya.

When I
was in Kenya, God laid it on my heart to sponsor a child. I was able to meet
Faith, an orphan who lives in the village of Mabatini. She stole my heart and I’m
so blessed by her. I’m hoping to make a visit back to Mathare to not only visit
my coworkers and friends, but to see Faith as well.

6. Give up my everything to Him.

My
desires, my wants, my needs, my future, my daily life, my pack, my all. I’m
giving it up to Him.

7. Go on safari in Africa, again.

Going
on Safari in Masaai Mara, Kenya was one of the best experiences ever. To finish
of my ministry in Mathare with going out and seeing God’s beauty through His
creation and His creations was so glorious.

8. Learn to love others unconditionally and grasp the meaning of
community living.

Living
with others is something I have never been good at, but it’s about time to
start living life with others. Loving them no matter what and investing in them
in all they do. G-squad is my family, I’ll be doing life with them the next 11
months and I’m stoked to be stretched be each of them. It might be the hardest
to love others during the long bus trips, but we’ve prepped for that, so it
should be interesting. Here’s a picture of us during our bus night at training
camp.

9. Work in an orphanage.

I love
children and that passion has come through in the last year or so with loving
on kids in Kenya as well as becoming a full time nanny before leaving for the
race. I’m excited to love on the children all around the world, but I really
desire working in an orphanage at least one month! Here’s a picture of me
loving on a girl at a medical camp.

10. Blog, blog, blog. Have some creepers to follow me.

I’ll
admit, I have done my fair share of blog creeping before going on The World
Race. I’m going to keep up with my blog so that supporters, friends, and
strangers can see what God is doing all over the world. My desire is that each of you will be able to see God’s love for His people in all nations. If you blog stalk me,
join the party! haha If you want to be hardcore sign up for email updates by

11. Hold nothing back.

The
next 11 months I am going to be transformed. I am going to be stretched. I am
going to grow in ways I never thought imaginable. I am going to be called into
greatness. I am going to call others into what God wants them to be. I am going
to hold nothing back and give every day my all. In the infamous words of
Gabriel Sanchez #noregrets.

I’m leaving on Monday at 11 am
from Angola, IN. Thank you all for your prayers, love, and support. I’ve had
many meals prepared for me in the last two weeks & I’m oh so thankful for
that! Blessings!!!
