Hellloooooo! (Think Robin Williams in “Mrs. Doubtfire”)

Well, it’s July.

That means it’s, roughly, three months until I leave on this crazy journey the Lord has called me to.   In less than a week, I will finally get to meet the people who will become my family over the course of the next year and a bit.  I will be challenged and stretched.  I will test out the gear that I have and the heart that is within me.  I will laugh, cry, pray, shout and dance.  I will encounter the Father in an intense and tangible way.   I will be rocked to my core.  …or so I’ve gathered ….because, this time next week, I will be at Training Camp.  And from the blogs that I’ve read from prior TC attendees, it’ll be a mix of somethin’ of the above and more, I’m sure.  Am I:  Excited?  slightly.  Nervous?  a bit.  Prepared? doubt it.  Ready?  you. bet.

Pray that me and my squad (as I finally get to meet all of these people!) will be open to what the Lord wants to do, flexible to the changes that are coming our way, patient with the process of it all and engage in each other and Father as the week progresses.  We should also find out what teams we will be launching with and (hopefully!) when & where we will be launching from.  Pray that the Lord divinely orchestrates each team with the people that, together, would be more effective for His Kingdom & His glory than  they are separate.  Pray that these teams begin to “gel” quickly and have confidence & trust in each other.  And pray that the route that is planned touches every place the Lord wants my squad to go and not there we would necessarily want to go.  In other words, may this route, ministry and journey be about HIM and not us.

I am beyond excited to meet all of the people I’ll be walking with this next year!  Let’s get this party started!
