“…to a Guatemalan man named Freddie”
These are the words
Becca said to me the day we left Guatemala. Apparently, one of the guys she’d befriended gave her a ring. She thought maybe it was a cultural thing and gave him one of hers in return (very much one of those “Uh, what do I do now?” moments.). So, Mr. & Mrs. Fujimoto, when the day comes that you give your daughter away, be prepared for the smallest possibility that Freddie will object!
Anyway, we’ve made it to Jinotepe, Nicaragua. I do plan to post a “travel day” blog. But, it will have to come a little later. Let’s just say it went well, but did take a full two days of travelling to get here. So, lots to write up and share with you.
Eddye and Miriam’s
wedding went really well! Despite fighting a pretty nasty little stomach bug during the days leading up to the wedding, I was able to attend and was blessed to provide some music for them. It turned out that Pachelbel was not on the menu, but rather a session of Spirit led playing in the key of E (we think. The guitar that
Brooks was tuned to a Guatemalan ear, but not to ours.). Unfortunately, due to safety reasons, we decided that less cameras was better than more in this particular area. So,
Greg and
Keryn did the photography for the wedding. I’ll have to steal pictures from them to post.
I know this post isn’t a great one. Just wanted to touch base with everyone as I’m not sure when internet will be available again. Whenever it is, though, hopefully a couple of “real” blogs (you know, about ministry and life and people and things on the field!) will get posted!
Love & Hugs!
