Ok, everyone asks the obvious question: “what countries are you going to be in?” And my answer has been “we probably won’t find out until July or August.” However, our fearless leaders have surprised us by telling us the *tentative* route we will set out on. One of the many things I appreciate about Adventures in Missions is that they follow where the Holy Spirit calls them. So if something comes up and they/we feel God’s calling us somewhere else instead of where we originally planned, our schedule will change and we will see to what we feel is the greater need. So here is the route we have planned:
October 2008 Race Route
You will depart from Los Angeles, California on September 28. Specific itinerary to be determined.
October – Philippines – Manila
November – China
December – Central Africa – Kenya
January – Central Africa – Uganda
February – Central Africa – Ethiopia/Other
March – India
April – Eastern Europe – Romania
May – Eastern Europe – Serbia/Bosnia/Other
June – Central America – Mexico
July/August – Central America – Guatemala/Nicaragua/Other
For some of my teammates, this makes the whole experience more real and is getting them more psyched. To be honest, I’ve got a lot of things on my mind that are keeping me distracted. I just found out my car may need to be repaired for a bit of a hefty sum, my phone has been playing “piss Braedon off” recently, I’ve been having trouble getting my shots/vaccinations, and I’ve done a bad job of spending time with Christ as of late. So as exciting as this route is, it’s still kind of surreal and distant to me. Please Pray that I would stay focused and trust that Christ is helping me with the logistics and that His work can only be Good, and that He is a part of all of this. Thank you to everyone supporting me in prayer. Please do not stop turning to our Lord for guidance in prayer and action. Our God is above all things.
Thanks for reading.
