As you may have read in my last blog, “Revisited: “Big Red,” today, November 20th, is my birthday. I am officially 24 years of age! And I feel so different!!! I woke up with a full beard, a full chest of hair, my back hurt, and I couldn’t remember anyone’s names!… None of that is true of course, but I am super blessed to celebrate my birthday at “home,” or at least on U.S. soil.
Last year, I celebrated my 23rd birthday with my G Squad Family in China, where i got to eat Mexican food, watch “Hook,” and drink some wonderful Chinese rice wine! Plus, my sisters, Cindy, Katie, Lindsay, and Tangi, bought me a pair of Chinese underwear, lovingly named “fundies,” as they had a very useful pocket on the front of them for anything that may need hidden, such as passports, money, my wallet, or even a package of crackers! Unfortunately, I lost these wonderful undergarments somewhere along the World Race, so I cannot wear them today on my birthday. But I will always remember how much my sisters wanted me to keep my things safe during my travels.
As for this year, I’m with a new community of folks (along with some G Squad

family) who are just as willing to take care of me on this day, the day of my birth. I have received lots of peanut butter flavored protein bars in order to gain more weight. And the whole crew is taking me to Australia for dinner! (we’ll make our “Outback Steakhouse” waiter say, “Crikey,” at some point, just to make it legitimate). So as you can see, God has blessed me with so many things for my birthdays. So thanks, families, for all of your love and care!
“What do you want for your birthday, Braedon?”
Well, funny you should ask, because I am still low on my support account. What I would really love for my birthday is for some folks to help me out with support. And since it is my 24th birthday, it would be amazing if I saw a bunch of $24 contributions in my support account! In fact, if someone wanted to pledge to give $24 a month until May, this would be the greatest birthday EVER!
Either way, thank you for your birthday wishes, gifts, and prayers. I know that God has done innumerable things in me in the past year, and that He has some HUGE plans for me in this next year.
Thanks for reading.
