We are not all called to follow Christ down the same path…
Kind of a bummer, right? It would be great just to grab the hand of the person
in front of you and walk down the same path they are walking down. ‘Following
the leader, the leader, the leader, the leader…’ But if you have ever had to go
through something difficult in your life, you know that the instruction manual
does not just pop onto your desk and tell you what to do next. You actually have
to try things, make mistakes, and eventually find your own way. But what if the
calling is the same? Hypothetically we are all asked to build a bridge to the
other side of a canyon. We are not told how, just as long as we build a bridge.
We are not all going to have a Golden Gate Bridge, or a Swinging Bridge, or a Covered
Bridge. Everyones bridge is going to look different.

Jesus Christ, the Man we all claim to have given our lives
to, tells us to follow Him. That is it. There is even a point when He tells
someone wanting to follow Him, Foxes
have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to
lay His Head.’

Paul was a missionary throughout the Roman Empire, and he
traveled and stayed with established churches. But he held fast to the calling
Christ put on his life: Go and make
disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son,
and the Holy Spirit.

There were those called to stay, and there were those called
to go. But we are all called to be a part of Gods Kingdom. We are all called to
invest what we possibly can into what God is doing around the world and in our
own communities.

There are some who would question the life of a missionary,
especially someone like myself- young, learning, unprofessional, not settled.
But really, my bridge just looks more like Pauls. He was not settled in one
place. Yes, he had the skills and authority to start new churches. But he did
not sit down in one place, set up camp, and say ‘I am going to stay here.’ He
moved. Constantly. And he made decisions that did not necessarily fit the mold
of a typical Roman citizen. But he followed the calling God put on his life.

We are all called to different paths. But we are all called
to serve the Kingdom of God.

Working with Adventures in Missions, in whatever capacity,
is what I am called to in this season in my life. Working in the training dept.
has been my calling for the past seven months. Travelling to Uganda this summer
as a leader is what God has called me to.

If you are already invested
in a ministry (not just involved, that is too easy) in your own community, or
pouring into another missionary or organization, then I pray for blessings on
you, and I encourage you to continue doing so. But if you are not currently
serving Gods Kingdom through your time, energy, or finances, then I’m calling
you out. And I am giving you an opportunity to do so.

Here is an open door. It’s not the only chance you have to
serve God. And if there are other ways you want to serve, go for it! Stop
reading this blog and get up and do it. But if you are still looking, I invite
you to be a part of the Kingdom:

To go to Uganda this summer and lead a very large team in
seeking out what path God is calling each of them to, I need financial backing
from my brothers and sisters in the Kingdom. If you have supported me in the
past, Thank You, and will you continue in this ministry? If you have only met
me a few times, please join me in pouring into a generation of people following
Christ. If you have somehow stumbled upon this blog, I urge you to become a
part of this ministry. You will learn more about me and I about you as you
support me on the mission field.

$2,400- This
amount will take care of my immediate needs as I continue working with
Adventures in Missions, as well as pay for my trip to Uganda. Can eight people
pledge to invest $100 a month toward this ministry? Can twenty-four people give
one-time gifts of $100? Please visit the “Support Me” button on the left side of your screen to give online. Please contact me with any questions, comments or concerns by clicking on the “Contact Me” button.

Here is an open door. Listen to hear the ways God wants you
to build His Kingdom.

Thanks for reading.
