So if you have not read about the recent events within G-Squad, there have been some (very) significant changes throughout the fifty people that make up G-Squad. For the past four months we have been eight teams: Aletheia, Dunamis, Hephzibah, Karis, Judah, Libre, Quake, and Transformers. We have shaken the nations (a little bit, at least) and have grown in our personal relationships with Our Father. Karis has become more than just a team- we are family. I have a brother, Brandon, and four beautiful sisters: Cindy, Katie, Lindsay, and Tangi. But one thing we signed up for when we decided to join the World Race was that we wanted The Lord to stretch us, to grow us, to make us uncomfortable so that we can only trust in Him. We gave up our lives so that God could enable us to build His Kingdom, no matter what pain we would have to go through.
What God has done in this particular season is separate Karis as a team. We will no longer represent Karis in the coming countries, but what we know is true is that we are family. We can still challenge each other, teach each other, love each other no matter what team we’re on. We know that our new teams are merely an extension of the beautiful family we have already and that The Holy Spirit is working us us no matter where we are. So without further ado, I wish to introduce to you…
Team Crux!!! -(latin for “cross,” and a term for the hardest part of a climbing route)
We are (in alphabetical order):
Audrey Powell– Her nephew’s name is Brayden
Braedon Tabor- Team Leader/Super Hero
This is my new team. I can honestly say we’re not family yet, but I know The Lord will bind us together through His Blood running through us and His Flesh covering us. We will bring nations to their knees, we will see the hungry fed, the naked clothed, the blind see, and the lame walk. We will see orphans find their mothers, and widows find comfort and provision. We will see the prophets of the world step into their roles and change the nations they live in.
We follow the words of Jesus Christ, the convictions of the Holy Spirit, and the Love of God, our Father. We will challenge each other to step into the roles He has created for us, and I will push my team to seek truth and power.
Please pray for Team Crux and my leadership. This is going to be a hard month, but good, as we will need to break down walls and barriers, becoming vulnerable once again, but we are also passionate about glorifying God. Thank you for all of your support and prayer for team Karis, and please do not stop praying for us as a family. But please begin to keep Team Crux in your prayers as this is a new chapter in all of our lives. Christ is leading us to His Kingdom and we are excited to see what is in store for us all.
Also, two of my family members and teammates,
Cindy Flores and
Katie Duff, are short on support. They both only need about $4,000 to complete their support raising, but in order to keep going through the rest of the Race they need to have that money in ASAP. Please ask The Lord for how much you can give and to tell you how much you will be helping by supporting my sisters.
As far as my sister and former leader,
Lindsay Heston, is concerned, The Father has blessed her with the funds needed to continue on the World Race, with only $1-2,000 left to raise (Rejoice!). So please be praying about that as well.
Thanks for reading, and thanks for joining me on this crazy and wild ride called life.
