We’re here in Granada, Nicaragua helping fix up a property and building that will become an AIM mission base. We’ve pitched our tents on the dirt floors of the barn, the main building on the property. There are several half-finished buildings out back that they hope to turn into housing for missionaries. We work in the yard out back in the mornings, raking, hauling rocks to the rock pit, and digging up roots. They’ve only owned this property for one month and they have made incredible progress so far but we’re hoping to help them get a lot farther in the next couple weeks. We’re also helping cook and serve at a feeding program in the barrios (slums), doing evangelism programs, and going door-to-door to talk and pray with people in the community.

There are seven World Race women working here this month. We’re a mixed group, with at least one person from each team. It’s been interesting and difficult so far because they’ve put me in the position of leader for the month with some of the most independent women on the race. I know the Lord is teaching me and I’m growing a lot through this experience but that doesn’t make it easy. Please be in prayer for me and all of us here in Granada. Thank you!
