Here is our campsite in Nsoko, Swaziland. My tent is the bright blue one in the middle.

We had to leave the country for a few days to renew our visas so we’ve spent the last few days in Santa Lucia, a beautiful quaint town on the South African coast. We were able to relax and do a lot of team bonding. WE had a team picnic at the beach. (I don’t have the team picture we took- check my teammate’s sites or I’ll get it from them later).

Then Elizabeth and I went on an educational hippo and croc tour.

Afterwards, Elizabeth, Tamara and I rented bikes and rode through the game reserve, through a beautiful forest, to the beach and across the boardwalk, up and down a gigantic hill (Tamara’s bike peddle fell off in the middle of riding up the hill!), and through town. It was so wonderful and soothing to be surrounded by nature, especially the ocean.

We’re heading back to Swaziland in just a few minutes. Although this has been a wonderful couple of days, I’m so excited to jump back into ministry. Things are on a roll and getting done now, so hopefully next time you hear from me it will be a post with more details of our ministry here. For a glimpse of our life so far, read Chickens Don’t Sleep or the blogs of any of my teammates (links to the left). Thank you so much for all your emails and comments! I was overwhelmed by all the love and thoughts and prayers! Some of you expressed that you wanted to send a letter/package (homemade cookies???). You can get the address and mailing instructions on my blog tick tock tick tock.

I’m sorry this blog isn’t as fun or inspirational as some of my others- I’ll get you a better one next time! Love and miss you 🙂
