I love birthdays. And thankfully, Team Lego loves birthdays too. It may not be a big deal to some people, but when you’re on the World Race, far away from friends and family, it can be a difficult time. We usually find a nice place to go out to dinner, get a gift and cake, and have a dance party. September 16th was Silas’ birthday and we were bummed that he was in a completely different city than us. Not wanting his birthday to go uncelebrated, we snuck up there to surprise him.

We surprised him at the base of Baiyoke Tower, the tallest building in Bangkok.  The 77th floor had the best buffet dinner I’ve had in a very long time and after eating way too much food and dessert, we had birthday cake!

On the top of the tower, 83 floors above street level, is a rotating observation deck.  We went up there after dinner to look out over Bangkok at night. It was really beautiful.

And of course, we took a lot of fun group pictures…

And now introducing… our new “official team pose!”

It was a great night of food, fun and celebration. Now that us girls are back in Pattaya, we miss our brother again, but we’re so grateful we got to celebrate his birthday with him!
