Our first Sunday was truly amazing. A group of kids game in and we shared the story of Peter walking on water with them. One of the Colombian kids came up and sat in my lap.
He was 6 or 7 and wanted so badly to communicate with me. Eventually we started the charades game to try and figure out what each of us were saying. He kept pointing to my bracelet then to himself. After a few minutes of me telling him it was mine I saw him look up at me and smile the biggest “I didn’t do it” smile. He had started unhooking my bracelet without me even knowing it.
I laughed and told him it was mine and he stopped. The next time I looked down at him, he was asleep. At that moment I got a clear image of God holding me this way. He is our Father. He loved us and cares for us. As this kid lay in my arms with no cares, sound asleep, and so trusting in me, he take me such a revelation from the Father and he will never know it.
