Greetings from Vietnam!

This has been a season full of transition and change! Our ministry in Cambodia was incredible, one of our best months yet! We will be sending out a detailed blog next week about what we did specifically with Lighthouse! Below is a link to our One Second A Day video for our time there!

We are in Vietnam now, and it is a closed, communist country so that means some added security measures on our end. While we are here, any blog we post will be password protected, and we really can’t post specifics about ministry on social media.

Plants and Pillars

Another special thing about this past month: it was our last month together as team Plants and Pillars. At the end of month 4 four (or around that time) leadership constructs new teams we have have team changes. This is such a bitter sweet time. As a team we have laughed and cried together, spent hours upon hours together, and have literally become like a little family. These people have become my people; and I will miss them so much.

Here was our last picture together at our squad Christmas party!

Here is picture of us at launch in August (top) and in Cambodia at our finial team debrief (bottom)

My FAV picture of the P&P girls at Phi Phi Island.

Squad Leading

One thing that we are really excited about is our new role for the rest of the race! Brad and I and two other squad mates have been raided up as squad leaders. For the first five months of the race we have alumni squad leaders that have done the race before but come back out on the field with us. When the leave they raise up squad members to take their place. This is an awesome opportunity to serve the squad in a different capacity. We are a team of four, and we will be spending time with different teams every month. Our job is to support team leaders and be a liaison between leadership back in the states and our squad of 47!

As squad leaders (top row: Jess, Carmen, Cristin, Brad) we work very closely with the logistics team (bottom row: Taylor, Luke, Janine) They also deserve a shout out for throwing an amazing surprise Christmas party for the squad at the end of debrief!

Here is our little team of four! Were were on the shoulder of the largest Jesus statue in the world!

Prayer Request

As alumni squad leaders are leaving the field, and new squad leaders and team leaders have been raised up we have a lot of people on our squad with new roles! Please be in prayer for smooth transitions and continued squad unity!

Here is is a picture of our new team leaders with Mr. and Mrs. Clause! They are our wonderful coaches they fly out to be with us during debriefs. Please be in prayer for our new team leaders and their teams this month!
