Crazy awesome experience I have to tell you about…
The Setup: We had our team time the other night and we were all asked to take some time and pray for God to speak to us and give us a word for one of our teammates that we would LATER find out who it was.
My initial thought was, “Oh boy, I’m not sure I have the faith to really do this.” So I laid back and gazed at the beautiful stars and prayed a simple prayer, “God, I REALLY want you to speak to me and REALLY do want to hear from you. Please allow the Holy Spirit to speak to me and give me a word.”
The Conclusion: The MOMENT that I finished my prayer, no lie, I had a name pop into my head, “Hyphen” (our team leader) and I thought it was kind of crazy to take a gamble on thinking this was the person I got since there are 6 other people on my team. I initially tried to think of other people’s names but was stuck with Hyphen.
Then I began to receive this word in my head piece by piece. It started with “Trust me”, then the word “Fully” was heavily emphasized for the next part of the word. Then I received the ending of it, “And I will take you there.” Wasn’t sure where “there” was or even whom this was for but it was then share time.
I chose to go first because I wanted to figure out who I got and if this was real. I shared the word that I received then opened a piece of paper that we drew to see who it was for and I bet you can’t guess who’s name was on it… HYPHEN!!! And the word actually truly meant something to her!
Crazy!
