Ok, so some people from Mercy Ships here in Togo have teamed up with the World Race with an AWESOME idea! This Saturday, at 5am, we will be meeting at the Togo/Benin border to walk/run the entire 32 miles across the country of Togo! Why are we doing this? Several reasons:
1. This will be an AWESOME opportunity to do a prayer walk across an entire country!
2. How many times in your life will you be able to say, “I walked across a country?”
3. This is a great opportunity to work on our tans.
4. THIS IS A FUNDRAISER! With only 4 months to go, several of us have not yet raised enough support to finish the race. Brad and I have raised over $20,000, but we still need another $6,000 to finish the race.
We know that our friends and family do not have this kind of money, but we also know that a dollar goes a long way when we all work together. Plus, God is a BIG God, and we know He is going to provide for us! We’re just trying to do our part by getting the word out.
Anyway, we are asking for people to donate $1 per mile we walk/run. We’ll post an update in a day or so letting you all know how we do! Let me know who is interested : )
