Whew…things sure got real these past 10 days at training camp! From June 5-15 I was finally able to meet my entire squad that I will be spending the next 11 months with! I feel like a little update/background is in order so that those of you going on this journey with me have a better understanding.

No Longer #11n11, but #12n11:

One of the biggest updates is that my squad will now travel to 12 countries instead of 11 countries!! Our logistics and leadership team made the decision that we will replace Bolivia with Ecuador and Chile. Ecuador will be our PVT week, which is where my parents will have the opportunity to come and experience the field with me, and Chile will serve as our mission field for the rest of the month. This is a pretty big change, but my squad and I are quite excited about these changes!

“X” Squad & My Team:

Speaking of my squad, I finally had the chance to meet these wonderful people. I was definitely nervous to meet these people who I will spend the next 11 months with, but after leaving I feel like I’ve known these brothers and sisters my whole life. We come from all over the states, and even a couple international places! After 10 days of tenting in the rain, bucket showers, late night eno hangouts, and countless dealings with spiders, we are prepared to “GO.” The Lord moved tremendously during these 10 days and worked on a lot of hearts to prepare us to abandon and serve. In lesser news…we WON SQUAD WARS!!!

After a number of days and a few simulated team scenarios, we were finally placed into our actual teams. Below is a picture of my squad and also a picture of team “koinonia.”

Fundraising Update:

Lastly, I need to update you on how fundraising is going. I am currently just a little over 1/3 of the way to my goal of $19,900! I can’t thank those of you who have already chosen to partner with me enough. If you’d like to help me continue to build towards my goal you have a few options:

Donate Directly

If you feel led to partner with me in furthering the kingdom through the World Race, the easiest and most effective way to help with fundraising is by clicking the orange “Donate” button at the top of this page and donating directly.

Donate Through Check

If you would rather pay through the use of a check you can do that also. The check must be made payable to Adventures in Missions with “Bowen Terrill” in the memo line. You can either mail it directly to Adventures in Missions, PO Box 742570, Atlanta, GA 30374-2570, or you can mail checks to me at PO Box 17262, Hattiesburg, MS 39404.

Donate Through VENMO

If you prefer to just donate to me using VENMO, my account is “bterrill3”.

Most importantly, thank you for joining me on this journey. I can’t wait to see the ways the Lord is going to move in the lives of people around the world over this next year, and that truly wouldn’t be possible without your support. THANK YOU!!!
