Well, it’s nearly time..A week from today I will be launching into the World Race with my squad to South Africa!
Firstly, my squad and I will spend a few days in Atlanta doing some last minute training before flying out into the field. I’m honestly excited to see all my new friends again, and spend those days in Atlanta talking about our summers and hopes for the coming year.
Recently I was able to find out that my team and a handful of other teams in my squad will be serving in the city of Johannesburg in South Africa! We will be working with the organization Impact Africa. The organization has five areas of focus: Impact Kids Preschool, The Impact Baby Rescue, Impact Mission Adventures, Impact Students, and the Missions Experience Program. We aren’t sure in what area we will be working yet, but we are excited to see where God will put us to use.
The preparation for this race has been really interesting for me. At times it moved extremely fast, and at others it seemed to be creeping along. I’ve had mixed reactions when telling people about my trip, which was something I don’t think I was truly prepared for. More than anything though, I’m fully confident that this is where God wants me. I’m so ready to see the way God not only uses my squad and I to impact the Kingdom, but to see how He impacts us as well during these coming months. There have been many hard goodbyes, and to anyone who didn’t get a chance to see or talk to me before I leave, I am sorry. Know that your support means more to me than I can adequately put into words. This mission would truly not be possible without all of you supporting me with your prayers and financially.
That leads me to a finance update. Thanks to so many of you, I AM LESS THAN $6,000 FROM BEING FULLY FUNDED!! If you’d like to help me reach my goal of $19,900 then please feel free to partner with me by hitting that “donate” button at the top of my page or by check or Venmo. Again, thank all of you, including those of you who have chosen to remain anonymous in your donations! This would truly not be possible without your help and support.
Please continue to follow along with this journey by subscribing to my blog. Over the coming months my blogs will be the best way to keep in contact with me and see what it is that my team and I are up to around the world.
