“Love and Mission, Love and Mission go together like a horse and carriage”

Ok so obviously this is a play on words taken from the song Love and Marriage by the great singer Frank Sinatra (or for the people of my age the theme song to Married with Children.) anyways I just got home from BSF, and the lesson was Romans 10:14-21, and all have to say is that Kim’s lecture about this passage def hit home with me tonight since the topic was mission, and opened my eyes as I am studying this book as a way to help me in my preparation for the World Race.  In her opening statement, Kim mentioned all those from our young adult group who are all out in the mission field serving God’s people in some capacity including her own Daughter, Emily who’s a squad leader on World Race serving in south America, But among these names Kim also mentioned me, and my soon to be mission service with World Race in October, needless to say I was totally caught off guard, but in a good way, and a feeling of mixed emotions went though me mostly embarrassment (yes my face got hot) since I have been trying to stay humble about this throughout the process since I have a issue with pride that I have been battling much of my life, but I also felt a sense of joy and honor to be mentioned among such incredible names, and all from our little group which to me in itself is just awesome.

After lecture, I sought out my friend and talked to her about it since I knew that she could help me out by putting it in proper focus for me, which she did in such a awesome manner, and it made me realize just how much love for mission I really do have, and that I should embrace that love, and open up more about it and still do it in a humble manner that I have been trying to do since November, and she also reminded me of a very important thing and that was to keep everything in the moment because come this time next year I’ll be heading to Cambodia from Vietnam. (crazy to think about, right?), and to enjoy it all.  I came away from that conversation with her with my heart full of joy.  So thankful for her friendship and guidance. So yeah I just wanted to share with you my faithful supporters that story.

With that being said, Please donate!!!!!! Every little bit helps!!!!!
