So lately I feel like all my blogs have been a bit on the serious side, so thanks to an idea that our squad storytelling leader gave us, I’m gonna introduce you to my team as if we were a real family.
Time to meet the Fam!
Mom (Sarah Ann): The ultimate do it all kinda mom. cooking, cleaning and serving her incredible family with such a servant’s heart adding to the fact that she works from home in between all of it. Not feeling well? She got an essential oil for whatever ails you, and yes they really do work. She loves each one of us, and we love her just as much if not 100x more.
Dad (Bonnie): The “cool” dad would rather play then help around the house which sometimes can drive the mom crazy. Huge sports fan, and is the type of dad that requires his kid to play at least one sport and is the coach of her team. A former college athlete himself he enjoys working out whenever he gets the chance. Works as a youth minister in the church and volunteers in the community as well as too many hobbies to list as he has many interests.
Daughter (Lauren): The mom & dad’s adopted child. Extremely smart and asks alot of questions about life. Loves to eat, and is blessed with a fast metabloism and like her dad enjoys working out in her free time. An up and coming soccer player as well.
Aunt (Martha): The cool aunt (think a combination of the aunts from Mamma Mia) who isn’t around much as she runs an orphanage in Africa, but still keeps in touch with the family back in the states, and comes to visit a couple times a year, and brings back the awesome gifts to everyone.
Grandma (Jillian): the wise matriarch of the family who lives in an assisted living home. But is visited by her family every other day, and is involved in many family outings & gatherings. Loves her grandchild, and always have snacks for those that visit. Loves to wear her slippers everywhere she goes even out in public.
Max (Kaitlin): The family dog who a medium sized scruffy mutt, named after the dog from The Grinch, is very loyal to her family, and loves to go for walks and overall just being around her family, and will cuddle up to you whenever you are on the couch or when she senses you are feeling down and is an excellent listener who won’t judge you.
So that’s our little family. In real life tho, I love these gals like sisters and I am so honored to call these 5 gals my sisters in Christ & a part of my P squad family this year.
