I get asked a lot about what I expect to happen on the trip, so I’m going to attempt to put it in writing. I honestly don’t know what to expect because this trip will be unlike anything I have ever done before. I definitely expect to have my world rocked!
I expect to lose some weight (I’m a bit of a picky eater).
I expect to find a substitute drink for Dr. Pepper.
I expect to learn the ‘natural‘ color of my hair.
I expect to find some fabulous shoes in a lot of different countries (hope they have shoes that fit my big foot).
I expect to take a few thousand pictures.
I expect to get really good at this blogging thing.
I expect to miss my friends and family TONS!
I expect to want to bring a few children home with me.
I expect to build lasting friendships with my teammates that will be unique because of this trip.
I expect to fall in love with LOTS of people and other cultures and not be ready to leave them.
I expect to learn new ways to serve.
I expect to learn how to live a much simpler life.
I expect to gain some direction for me life. I pray that I am open to this one.
I expect to experience God in new, AMAZING ways.
I expect to learn more about the Spirit. The church I have grown up in, focuses more on the Father and Son part of our Lord and I look forward to getting to know the other part of the Trilogy.
I expect to see God show up EVERYWHERE we go!
Most of all, I look forward to how much of a life-changing experience this is going to be. I can’t even imagine all of the ways it is going to change me!
