Yes the day has come, I am back in America! My World Race journey is over after 9 months.
A lot of people have been questioning what I am going to do this fall and originally I was going to go back with the World Race for 3 months to help out with Gap Year, but do to some thinking and praying about my plans for this fall, the Lord has told me that I need to stay at home for a bit. With that, I got a job as soon as I got back and started working.
I am working with a company called The Butler which is basically a delivery service. So I will be spending a lot of time in the car by myself listening to music, podcasts, and whatever else I can think of all day while delivering anything from fast food, to prescriptions from a pharmacy to people, as well as getting to wear whatever I want, not shaving or cutting my hair. If you know me well enough you would know this is the ideal job for me and my personality. I’m going to be working as much as possible this summer trying to save up to put a down payment on a car, start paying some bills, and maybe attend community college this fall.
Am I going to miss this last season the Lord took me through? Of course.
Do I miss my people from the race? Absolutely.
But life goes on. In all honest truth, I will see the people that mean something to me from the race, because I care about them. Will it be soon? Probably not, but I know I will see them again. I’m now in a sweet place to start pouring into some people back at home and I’m going to take advantage of that while I’m here. I love the quote, “Be where your feet are” and that’s what I’m going to do.
I would absolutely love to talk about the race with anybody and anyone. If you live in a different state and want to talk to me, reach out. If you live in Lubbock, message me and I would love to meet with you and share my experiences.
These last 9 months were absolutely amazing, but something they always reminded us is that they didn’t want those 9 months to be the best months of our lives and I’m going to take that and apply it to my life, it only gets better when you continue to seek out the Lord.
I’m going to be creating a new blog on a different site where I will be sharing about my life and what the Lord is doing in and through it. Not sure what site yet but I will be working on getting it going soon. Follow me on Facebook and I will have it shared on there for you to subscribe to! I will share more about my thoughts with the race, what the Lord taught me in every country, my thoughts on America, etc.
Finally, thank you to all of you that have supported me in anyway, whether it be financially, reaching out to me, praying for me, or anything in between. I love you all and I’m excited to continue what the Lord taught me and you all made that possible!
And on that note, this isn’t a goodbye, but a see you later.
God bless,
Bo McCraw
