So a lot has happened between my last post and this. I have decided to step out on faith and grace to show off how great is our God! This past week we have gone to 2 different colleges in Bulewayo to evangelize to the students there. We were able to openly preach about the gospel in these schools because of our connection with a local evangelist named Litu who has all these wonderful connections in the city. In these two separate occasions Litu asked either the day before or the day of to have a few of us prepared to share a word from God with the students.

Leading up to our team sharing anything, there would be fierce and bold praying and a praise and worship team, singing and dancing to the glory of God! It’s exciting to see and hear how folks of other tribes and nations praise the one and only true, living God! It’s also humbling and honoring to have them generously welcome a bunch of Americans to come and speak and hang out with them. I did not verbally share anything corporately other than a simple Hi at one of the schools. However, I felt so honored to publicly say Hi to these students because I know that was all the Holy Spirit needed me to say at that moment. That all the students needed to hear from me at that moment was a simple Hi in order to feel loved and heard from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

In the beginning of this month, I have been robbed of my joy in spreading the good news of the gospel because I was busy feeling scared that I wouldn’t communicate myself clearly, I was envious of how my other teammates were being more bold and passionate and finally I even questioned/doubted my purpose in being in Zimbabwe yet alone the world race. However, after much one-on-one time with my heavenly father, being on my knees and being constantly ministered to by our lovely host family who find practical ways of communicating the gospel to so many different age groups (including my team ages 21-32) I was reminded to simply listen to God.

Yes I will admit there have been a number of times where I have shyed away from the opportunity to share my testimony in corporate settings, but I am learning that because I am on a team there are other members of this body that need to share what the Lord is telling them. So this time instead of feeling insecure, jealous or doubtful, I exhorted my other team members for sharing their testimonies because that is what needed to be heard for that audience at that time. My prayer during that time is how can these students best hear from you Lord and I am so proud of what my team members have shared so far. So I feel confident that when I was asked if I wanted to say anything, that my “hi” was enough. I enjoyed just being there participating via praying, singing and dancing before the Lord with the students and that was the best way to convey the gospel to them.

So if I could encourage you at all through this short story is to be secure in who you are and what you have to bring to the table. Everybody has a part to play in serving the body of Christ. Just remember to be open to listening to the Holy Spirit living within you.

FUNDRAISING UPDATE:

I did not reach my fundraising goal of $16,561 USD on Jan 31. However, I did get a total of $251.00 last month. Thank you to everyone that was able to financially support me, not just last month but over the past year as well. $3092 is all that I have left to raise in order to be fully supported! Please consider joining me in spreading God’s truth and love to all nations. Also if you would like to share what I am doing with your church, job or organization, please reply here or email me at [email protected] and I can send you a video of this mission and how they could donate to my race. Thanks again and God bless you!
