This post is about how ministry looked like last month in Zimbabwe via conversation between one of our ministry contacts on fb messager the other day. It was actually quite encouraging and also full of laughter.
We will never forget you Litu and all of the joy and truth of the gospel of Jesus that you bring Bulawayo! Also just to give you some context into what he was talking about, the first message he mentioned a place called Ingutsheni which is a mental hospital. Every week we ministered to the men and women there sharing a word of encouragment from God.
The second message he was referring to a night of worship that we had at our host’s church. This church building was actually much more like an outdoor church where there are no walls, just a roof and floor. It was pouring rain the whole night and the song “you are good” came on and just like he said kayla and I went out there and sang and danced in the rain. So that’s why he was able to see us out there singing and dancing. It was amazing!
The third message made me LOL and I hope it made you LOL too. For those of you who don’t know…I literally have to go to the bathroom all the time because of the amount of water/liquids I drink everyday. I guess it’s more of a “you had to be there” moment. It’s just funny to me because the Lord has definitely used my bladder issues as a ministry opportunity a few times now on the race.
I love all the friends we are making all around the world! I love meeting different parts of HIS body bringing Kingdom unto Earth! I love Jesus’ sense of humor! I hope this encouraged you/made you chuckle out loud…COL…ehhh not as catchy as LOL…I’m corney, I know…hahaa.
P.S. Quick fundraising update! I’m on month 6 on the world race and have one more month here in Africa, but need exactly $1386 before leaving Africa at the end of next month.
