I am going to use a description that I asked my best friend to write about me a few months ago that I needed for my job. Please feel free to object 😉

If you look up the words dedication and commitment you would probably find a picture of Mary-Bliz Ballesteros next to both words. Despite the many obstacles she was forced to overcome, Mary-Bliz became determined to make a difference, not only in her life but the life of others. A graduate from Philadelphia Biblical University with a dual Bachelor’s degree in both Bible and Social Work today Mary-Bliz is truly a solid image of what it looks like to be involved in community. As a member of Younglives ministry, Mary Bliz continues to demonstrate her passion to serve and make an impact by reaching out to young teen mothers within her community. Through this she shares that there is more to life than what is before you at the present time. She shares that there is always hope, but you have to be willing to make the change. Mary-Bliz joined Asociación de Puertorriqueños en Marcha’s Community Umbrella Agency in October 2013 as their Strengthening Families Coordinator where she continues to motivate others to be involved and make a change within their own family. Always cheerful and with a vibrant smile, Mary-Bliz always finds a way to find the light in the darkness.
