It’s my last week here in Guatemala, which means lots of goodbyes. One of our hardest goodbyes will be with our good friend, JJ. We met JJ our first month in San Luis after praying for a man of Peace. On the exact day we prayed for that, a man with broken English, named JJ, came and introduced himself. He had a wife and two children, and they lived in a house on top of a cafe in the community. We befriended him and hoped he would help us get connected in the community, but what he ended up being for us was far greater than our prayers. He became an incredible friend to all of us. We have spent every single day of ministry (and a majority of the weekends) doing life and fellowship with JJ. We have gotten to reach so much of the community of San Luis through him, and we have been able to build a kingdom friendship with him and his family. Early on he had asked us to pray for his wife who did not know Jesus, and we got to witness, in person, her giving her life to Christ. We have grown to Love JJ, and though we have many goodbyes ahead of us, he will be one of the toughest. Meet JJ:
