Here in Uganda My team has been working with Christ Ambassadors Church and Champions Primary Christian School in Mukono. Pastor Joseph and his wife Frida are amazing people who are on fire to spread the gospel across Uganda. They also show God's love greatly to the children here in Uganda! Pastor Joseph and Frida have taken in 6 children to raise on their own and 384 children attend Champions Primary School and they know all of their names. Pastor Joseph is referred to as their father because he shows Christ's love to them everyday. Their passion for the fatherless is awesome! So blessed and honored to be apart of this movement of God in Uganda!
We are spending several mornings at the school helping them build a dormitory for the children so they can have a place to live. We have seen great progress in the 2 weeks we have been in Uganda! We have been working on a library also and they have raised $20,000 of the required $25,000 for the project. God's hand is moving greatly!!
Pastor Joseph’s heart is aligned with God's. When we arrived he told us his future vision for the school. He wants it to be self-sustaining. Behind the school there is a garden full of fruits and veggies that they can sell. Then he told us that one day he wants to have cows and chickens to provide food for the children, jobs for adults and income for the school. If they owned one cow they could breed it over the years and multiply the livestock. His dream for the chickens is the same, to multiply them. He desires for the children to have nutritious food by providing milk in their porridge and 3 eggs per child per week. They already have so many programs in place and this would just be the next step in what God is doing here. We love that this man wants to be self-sustaining and to be able to provide for these children for years to come.
