Today I am in a fun mood so I thought I would give you 25 More Random Facts about ME!!
1. I am so glad 7-11 came back to Charlotte!! First time since 1988 so glad for the Coke and Mountain Dew Slurpees! (For those who like Sun Drop Slushees, try a Slurpee from 7-11 they are so heavenly!!)
2. When I was looking at The World Race Route I am going on starting in January 2013 and saw the country Nepal, I was like what's in Nepal? So I wikipedia the country Nepal and I saw Mount Everest!! Now I am like Nepal Awesome!!! Let's go Hiking!!
3. I love volunteering on a Saturday Night at Elevation Church!! The people are so cool plus I am on the parking team so I drive a sweet golf cart which is painted orange!
4. I love texting, calling, Hey Tell!, (one of my teammates call this her walkie talkie) and google+ing my World Race Family!
5. I want to learn how to play the Guitar one day, hopefully I could meet someone on the Race who could teach me!
6. I can't wait to meet all of my WR Teammates/New Family at Training Camp in October!
7. My funniest moments are never planned they are so unexpected!
8. I have run the 5k, 10k, and the half-marathon so far in races for running and I am seriously considering doing a marathon before I leave for the WR!!
9. I like Chucks! (The old Converse Shoes)
10. I am a big numbers person! So if here me talk in percentages about numeric facts don't be surprised!
11. Charlotte is a great city! Yes, I am one of those people who love Charlotte, NC!!
12. I am looking forward to growing out a beard like Jesus on The World Race!!
13. I will participate in food contests anywhere at anytime! I did one against a friend of mine who is about finished with the WR and I won even though I was going at about 70% strength.
14. I may not be the best at everything but I give it my all in everything I do!!
15. I like to read!
16. I will be the one who will probably kill the spiders in my group! (This is a hot topic among my WR team!)
17. I do think the Carolina Panthers will bring a Super Bowl to Charlotte by 2015!
18. Every person I meet, I have a geniune concern and care for what is going on in their lives.
19. My two favorite colors are Blue and Red!
20. I love my guys small group at Elevation! They are an awesome group of Godly Men!
21. In 2003, at HBC in Hickory, NC In a college aged Sunday School Class there was a school desk and a big black leather chair in the room. I decided to sit at the desk and put my feet up on the desk in a chillaxin pose! My dear brother, friend, mentor and the one who showed me the ropes in Ministry Sam Scaggs comes in the room and he says something to me and I responded to Him I am at the front of the room cause I'm Da General and I am in charge! (Something like that) That nickname I gave to myself people will call me that to this day!
22. There's a hotel I own called the Blake Hotel and its in Charlotte!! (HAHAHA!! JK!!)
23. There are so many nicknames people come up for the name Blake!! Blakester, The Blake-O-Rama, Blakerz, Blakies, (That one sounds like a new cereal coming get your box of Frosted Blakies today!!) and Blakersshakers!
24. Someone told me this and I think this so true about myself, "Blake is bizzare but in a good way!" I can definitely see this for sure because I am following what Jesus has called me to do and this takes audacious faith!
25. I am a big believer in building community in groups so by the end of The World Race I will know my teammates inside and out! I am looking forward to this amazing opportunity God has given to me!!
