God is the Cap’n Makin’ it Happen!!

I have been through a growing process since God has allowed me to be called into His ministry as a missionary for The World Race. All of my filthy rags have been getting exposed pretty bad through this growing process to become the man of God He wants me to do for the ministry. The last couple of weeks I have shared some of the painful rags in my life, now comes the blog were this is ENCOURAGING!! PRAISE THE LORD!!

Remember the cereal Cap'n Crunch right growing up? There's a slogan "He's the cap'n making it happen!! God is the captain and he is in all control of Everything in this world and all situations in our lives knowing what is best and needed in our lives! AMEN!! 

Since the Like and Comments blog this is some of Highlights of how the Lord has worked in my heart during the last 2 weeks!! 
 

• After the Like and Comments blog many people on my World Race M-Squad sent me encouraging words with my struggles about pleasing man instead of God and with Facebook.
• One of my sisters and feels like we are good friends now even though we are almost 3,000 miles apart future surfer and a woman of God who has a humble spirit for others Danae Englund from Fall City, WA said this to me in a text message," Blake with what you tell me about your life with God and everything of how God is changing you do not to worry about how many likes and comments you get on facebook! You are strong!"
• Another one of my fellow squadmates who is in SC not too far away from me  who has amazing artwork and who can make lattes so awesomely Rachel Price sent me a message I got on my Iphone on Facebook after The Likes and Comments blog. This is what Rachel said, "Blake I just wanted to say its so great seeing your honesty on your recent blog. I think everyone struggles with the "fear of man" and anything we fear can substitute the word worship thats why fearing (worshipping) God is so important. We gotta take people's opinions of us off the throne and put God back!! Thanks for sharing have a great rest of the week! You encouraged me."
• Another guy in our group I will call him Marathon Man (for the sake of privacy) said this to me "Jake Hamilton- The Anthem check it, sit. Think it could help with some of the things you seem to be battling Praying for you. Stay strong! Psalm 143, Blake read it."
• I had a campus Pastor and his wife from Elevation randomly appeared by divine appointment from God and told me about raising support in ministry, encouraged me and prayed with me!
• I saw my account and I was humbled by God later on the night I was at Starbucks with a friend from Elevation. I saw I had a monthly sponsor giving on the 11th of every month! World Race 11 countries and 11 months! WOW!!
• God allowed me to speak to a small group with my church and they collected change for me all month in August and a guy gave me his tithe for the week towards The World Race!
• Out of the blue someone who I went to college with at Johnson and Wales made an email for me and sent this out to people who he worked with and all. This person was a missionary in China after he graduated from JWU and I received donations from him and a co-worker!!
• I started praying for people who haven't made the first deadline really hard in our M-squad!! This was God allowing me to go into battle with my brothers and sisters in Christ!! This felt really good!!
• I emailed another 5 small groups at Elevation and I just recently spoke to another one and they are having a big yard/garage sale for The World Race to help with my funding in Fort Mill, SC on November 10! They are getting donations and all!! This is AWESOME!! 

When did this start happening to you Blake? I give you a key thing! When I surrendered fully to God and threw my arms up and said I can't do this without you I give you control over this calling you have for me Jesus!!

1 Peter 5:5b-5:7 NIV84 says," God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all of your anixety on him because he cares for you."

God was saying to me, "Blake you can't win being in control! Your not the Cap'n and you can't make it happen but give it to God and HE CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN!! You watch Blake my son cry out to me and give me control fully surrender to me!!

One area God was convicting up was with me chipping into my own fund for The World Race. I probably chipped in between $400-$500 of my own money from work to the ministry fund. On September 13, I said to God this is your calling, you're in control not me, I surrender. I waved the white flag and I think God was like Blake I love you, thank you and this was overdue. I have a peace with God since this happened and the Facebook likes and comments I have been getting better at catching myself before the Blakezilla takes over in my mind with this struggle.

Now for an update with my support account for The World Race!! God has provided me with $4,929!!! Praise the Lord and thank you for all of the generous givers, encouragement, prayers and everything Your Awesome!! (Yes!! I overuse this word but it's so awesome!!)
