I want to say somefing right now, but I just can’t, I’m devoid of verbage which is not normal for me, so I’ll just copy and paste what my teammate just said about our video! Oh wait, I do have something…I have been so challenged with this project, challenged to know more about my faith and to live it out more fully. I believe that God has put these people in our lives as a gift, and I’m humbled to have such an amazing people share their stories so willingly with us. We will continue to pray for and love our friends for years to come, because they have made our time in Turkey unforgettable. Also a big thank you to Bethany for helping me interview these amazing people and for Bambi being my editing diva, I couldn’t have done it without ya’ll!
My teammate Bambi said this…….
What once started as a university ministry soon morphed into something a bit different. A few days into our month here in Istanbul, Turkey, we discovered this ministry wouldn’t be as easy as once thought. Rather than give up, we took it to Him… And this is where He brought us…
To a month of media. A month of interviews with locals, and photos of natives. We made relations with people in town and became friends with people at our hostel. We asked them about their faith, our God, and their way of life. Many of these individuals have become very special to us, and we hope you can see the light in them as well…
The variety of people we were able to meet while here was amazing. We met people from all over the world, literally. We have been invited to The World Cup, have friends who want to follow with us to a new destination, and friends we might just keep for ages.
This has been a month that brought our team together despite the chaos at the forefront of it all.
It helped us to work together.
It helped us to encourage one another.
It brought out new talents.
It brought out new passions.
It shows our hearts.
It was a bond we didn’t see coming.
It gave us down time to minister to one another.
It gave us time to pour into him daily as a team.
It gave us a time to come together.
… So think about it…
“Who do you say HE is?“
