My last weeks in L.A. have been amazing! I’m back in Flint, MI now and I’m just reflecting on what God has done. My faith has grown so much since just two months ago. I am a different person for sure and I’m so grateful for that.

I had to basically move out of my apt, sell my things, put some stuff in storage and fly out to be with family by July 13th. I prayed about all the details and God totally took care of me, even the little things. I needed a place to store my things and asked God to provide a free place to store the items and sweet friend Amy called me up and said if I needed a place to store my things, that she has an extra closet. It was a miracle because I didn’t even ask her, God just put it on her heart to help. I also needed a place to stay from July 1st til I left and my friend Karli opened her apt up for my dog Tikko and I to stay there. It was such a great blessing for us.

I also asked that God would order my days and direct my steps my last few weeks and everyday was so beautiful. I had so many opportunities to spend time with friends and share my story. God opened up so many doors for me to see people before I left. I had great Egyptian food lunches with EZ, at his restaurant, Bella Pita. We talked about our journeys and I prayed with him which was too dope for words. I met with my friend Chris and I told him about my trip and he was so encouraging, so supportive and I found myself in tears because I started to realize what I’d be doing this year. I shared my story so much that it wasn’t internalizing, but at that moment it began to hit me. My friends in L.A. have been my family. I remember moving there 4 years ago and not having any friends, now I have hundreds and its because God provided the community.

One of my supporters, Wendell has been such a gentle reminder of God’s faithfulness. We had many opportunities to talk, pray and spend time together before I left and I am so thankful for his powerful prayers and generous support.
My dear friend Kristen invited me to a play last week at the Geffen, and we had such great one on one time. We prayed for each other, shared our dreams about serving God, shared our hearts and I am so encouraged to have such a beautiful sister. God totally spoke through her by telling me I’m His princess! Woohoo, what a gift!

My Wednesday night Bible Study has been a gift too. I started going a year ago and they have been my spirtiual family for sure. They all knew I was leaving soon and they supported me so much, prayed for me before I left and gave me advice about the journey ahead. I wouldn’t be strong in my faith without such a strong support. I’m going to miss them terribly.

Only 6 months ago I started going to GBSE, which stands for Greatest Bible Study Ever and the people there have taught me what true community is. I fell in love with them and they supported me in a huge way. My buddy Dave, saw me a couple weeks ago and gave me a check to help me on my trip. I hadn’t even asked him and He gave in a very generous way. My dear friend Lina had been supporting me in prayer and encouragement throughout my support raising and she gave me a check right before I left.

My other dear friend David told me if I needed help that he was there, and he also gave me a check right before I left. I know I couldn’t have done this without their loving support. There was no doubt that God wanted me to go on this trip, the provision was coming from all over the place and from so many people.

I have a great studio that I trained at called Easy Fitness, and my friends there have supported from the beginning. I told some of my girls I was doing a volleyball tournament and they donated gift certificates and prizes. My friend Jane gave me her ipod for my trip because mine was stolen out of my car just a couple months ago. I had even prayed that God would provide an ipod for my trip and He did thru Jane. God cares about the little things. One of my trainers and the owner of Easy Fitness took me to lunch before I left and he reminded me that I wasn’t just saying I was going to make a difference, I was doing it. He offered to help each month as much as he was able because he believes in what I’m doing.

My mentor Lynn and I were able to connect before I left and I told her what I was doing and she wrote me a check right there. I found that I wasn’t even asking people and they were giving.

I have been a spin instructor for about 2 years and I had to say goodbye to them, and that was so emotional. They gave me a gift and a card with the most heartfelt words. One of my students offered me a free massage before I left on my trip, that was a total blessing! Thanks Tracy!! I had tea-time with my friend Julie who was also one of my spin students and was able to pray with her before I left. I loved praying with my friends and loving on them before I left, probably one my favorite things! Another of my fav things, is hangin with my friends over a good meal. I went to dinner with my neighbors and old roommate at a yummy tapas restaurant. J.C., Chelsea, Dan and Bea brought me so much joy while I lived in Santa Monica and was able to tell them goodbye. I loaned J.C. the book Wide Awake and she started reading it, which is awesome. She said “I pray to Jesus everyday now.”

My last night in L.A. I was able to say goodbye to my friend Melanie and spent time praying with her. She has grown so much since I’ve first met her and I know God will continue to show her love!

He has shown me His love for me through my friends Trish and Scott. I had dinner with them before I left and we prayer walked and they encouraged me on my journey. Scott has been working with me on my filming endeavor while I’m on my trip. I got a camera donated by my dear friend Priscilla, without me even asking she offered, again…another God providing moment. Scott and I met a couple times before I left L.A. to work with the camera and he taught me technique and talked about the do’s and don’ts of filmmaking. Trish and Scott have loved me and supported me so much, and I feel like I can conquer the world when I’m with them. They are so amazing and I am so thankful for them!

I have so many more stories and miracles to share and will be blogging more soon!!! Can’t wait to tell you about my volleyball tournament fundraiser, trip to San Fran, miracles before I left L.A. and friends that have impacted me!
