Today was so beautiful.! I drove around Los Angeles and just thought about leaving it, saying goodbye to those I love, enjoying the city these last few days and how it made me feel. I thought I’d cry, but I smiled thinking about the life God has in store for me. I honestly never thought I would be leaving, and I definitely didn’t think I’d be going out like this. God has an amazing way of flipping our lives upside down and showing us that He’s so outside of the little box we put Him in.
I met with a dear friend of mine today and he spoke such encouraging words to me. I felt so loved and blessed to have his support. He reminded me that I’m young, and doing a big thing…He also really encouraged me to document the trip as best I can so that others can be impacted. Thank you Anthony! I left our meeting totally energized and excited about support raising. Now, I have to admit, I was not a fan of it from the beginning. I asked God to make it an exciting journey for me to trust Him to provide and He is doing it ten-fold. I had mentioned to some of the girls that I train with each week that I was hosting a Volleyball tournament in July to raise funds and they all offered to give great prizes for the winners. People are asking to support me and I’m not even asking them. I was at Bible Study tonight and told the peeps there that I was in the middle of support raising and need their encouragement. They stepped up in amazing ways, asking for letters, saying yes to storing some of my boxes while I’m gone for the year and one of my dearest mentors and her husband (they’re like my L.A. mom and dad) gave me $400 to do whatever I need with it. “I can get a pack”, I exclaimed! She said, “whatever you need to get darling.” Thank you Jean and Marvin! Thank you Wednesday night Bible Study! My beautiful friend spent time giving me advice on the trip, offering fund-raising suggestions, her support and prayers when I needed it tonight. Thank you Michelle. I am crying just thinking about how when I let go and trust God he weaves things, people and events so beautifully so I can see His masterpiece. I can’t wait til tomorrow to see what God does! Oh and by the way I’m selling all my stuff on Craigslist and its amazing how I’m sharing with the people that buy my things. He’s using it all for His glory…Bring me more Jesus! Love you!!!
